Margla is the most ,crazy female dance-hall artiste who has the dreams of changing the dance-hall music industry. She is still in school pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism in her second year. She doubles as a Diva Awards female DJ and Uganda's best dance group DJ that is broadcasted by WBS TV. 
 
Her stage name is Margla which is derived from Maria Gladys. We caught up with her and below is the interview:
UOWD: What is your stage name?
Margla: My stage name is MARGLA meaning Maria Gladys [those are my two christian names]

UOWD: Tell us about your Music?
Margla: I got 'Nobody' , 'Switch','Selecta' 'Lwaki' all tracks featuring Arafat and my singles 'Tinku' 'Oh Boy' an Tonyumiza.

UOWD: Hmmm are you single?
Margla: No I'm not. I'm moving out with someone and we've been dating ever since we were in form two. He loves me so so much and I love him too. He is the only guy who can be patient with my way of conduct as in knowing that am a stubborn and a crazy chick,,,,,,also knowing that am wicked he understands me coz that's the real me,,,,,,,so no other guy can understand that.

UOWD: Whe did you start singing?

Margla: I used to sing way back when I was a little girl in P.4 but I started professional studio recording last year at Mask studio in Kabalagala.

UOWD: Any challenges in your music career?
Margla: Balancing my books, being a DJ and music is my biggest challenge.

UOWD:Do you have any collaborations?

Margla: Yeah I got collabos with Jay a Jamaican Dance-hall Artiste and also Billy Cool the Freezer

UOWD: Tell us about the 'Nobody' song which is much like 'Bread and Butter' by the Goodlyfe Crew

Margla: About the Nobody track,,,,,we settled the beef and I personally got no beef with any one am just concentrating on my music coz I want my fans to listen to entertaining lyrics in my songs.

UOWD: On a good day where do we find you?
Margla: I'm in studio at Mask Studio in Kabalagala.

Margla: Laughs...The pic was taken from the bath tab by my photographer during the shooting of my latest video called 'OH BOY'

UOWD: What does 'Tinku' which happens to be one of your tracks mean?

Margla: Tinku means BANTINKUDDE [the outcome of someone who tries to mess with me] so my haters were trying to mess with me so I had to write tinku expressing my feelings about the hate they were feeling 4 me

UOWD: Okay ..how about Njikombelele which also features a lot in the Tinku track

Margla: NJIKOMBELELE is a slang we used to use at school meaning pleading or bending low for someone.

UOWD: What genre is your music?

Margla: My style of music is ragga dance-hall

UOWD: Have yo worked with any female artistes and if so which ones?
Margla: I have worked with Bella, Prossy Patra and Leila. We have a song together called 'Put on ya Shoes' though our fans prefer calling it Inna De Dance Ladies version


UOWD: An to your fans reading this interview
